Erzinger & Wagner: New technologies and innovations for the painting market in Brazil

With equipment and systems with advanced painting technology, our partnership with Wagner has lasted almost 20 years. During this time there have been major revolutions in the surface treatment and painting market in Brazil and, like Wagner, Erzinger has become known worldwide.

We invited Michel Finder, Wagner’s commercial director for powder coating solutions in Brazil, to tell us a little more about this journey, the challenges, success stories and the main benefits of installing high-performance coating equipment.

“I want to start by saying that 20 years of partnership between companies is a very rare occurrence here in Brazil, especially with foreign companies.Even though in this period we have been through some global economic crises together, changes in import issues, changes in tax rules, the partnership has always remained strong and the companies have always supported each other.

We have certainly managed to overcome these barriers of time, even with the obstacles that time shows, because we are serious companies and we always seek the best for the client.

Wagner’s history here in Brazil began some five years before the partnership with ERZINGER was signed, but it only began to consolidate its position in the national territory once the partnership began. There are even customers who associate the brands, not just because of the partnership, but because of the degree of quality and consultative service, always delivering a solution that fits the client’s profile and business.

Painting is not an ugly duckling, painting is a differentiator that the customer adds to his brand and his product and this process needs to be done well and more and more pre-treatment and painting processes are receiving this care, because the costs and expenses in this final manufacturing process are beginning to be seen differently.”

“Companies understand that if they want to be competitive, they need to be efficient and paint lines must be developed with this precedent. So companies need to have really high-performance, headache-free, low-maintenance equipment and eventually, if maintenance happens, have a company behind it offering this support, with original spare parts and services provided by qualified people.

We understand that the partnership will exist for many, many years to come, because Wagner is always investing in new equipment and products that guarantee real benefits to customers, and these are qualities that WAGNER is always looking for. Erzinger recognizes the added value in this type of equipment that generates more confidence and efficiency in the painting lines, there’s no point in having a paint line from leading companies in the market, but with a low-performance applicator that doesn’t save paint and only generates headaches and unnecessary expenses. So we understand that ERZINGER will always be looking to WAGNER for great solutions and this will naturally enhance our partnership.

Specifically for Wagner applicators, we understand that Brazilian customers too, despite having several options in the electrostatic powder coating applicator market, usually have low performance or products imported from China or manufactured domestically with intermediate quality, and this no longer has any room. Brazilian entrepreneurs are looking for high-efficiency, low-maintenance application equipment that delivers real quality to the finishes of their painted parts, and they see Wagner as a great brand to automate their painting lines and booths.

Where there is an opportunity to install a spray gun/applicator, there may also be a paint booth and, in the future, the delivery of a complete paint line solution.

Erzinger is always close to the customer and we also understand that Wagner is an important ally here. The partnership works because if a customer buys a Wagner spray gun today, they will certainly want to buy an Erzinger paint line tomorrow.” – Michel Finder – Wagner’s Commercial Director in Brazil

Thank you Michel and Wagner for all these years of partnership, we will continue to stimulate the growth of the surface treatment and painting market in Brazil with highly efficient equipment that adds not only to our customers’ productivity and earnings, but also to the protection and finishing of surfaces that are part of people’s daily lives.
